Olfaction // Simon Daniel Tegnander Wenzel

This short film follows Norwegian artist and musician Simon Daniel Tegnander Wenzel during his residency at Artica Svalbard in summer 2025.

The film focuses on Simon’s work with olfaction as an artistic medium. Through conversations, field observations and studio footage, it explores how he uses scent to investigate memory, place, and personal experience — from childhood smell associations to the reconstruction of a wartime cave through its atmosphere and minerals.
